👋 I’m Emily, a software engineer helping to build the next generation of Ruby developer tools.

I currently manage the Ruby Developer Experience team at Shopify, where our goal is to create an opinionated, state-of-the-art experience for developers (human or otherwise) in the Ruby community. We build and maintain tools like Sorbet, the Ruby LSP, and Rubydex.

I am also the co-founder and CEO of WNB.rb, a community for women and non-binary Ruby developers. What started as a small meetup has grown into a thriving non-profit, all focused on helping a more diverse group of people make an impact in the Ruby community.
